I called Augie T and he was ever so kind to give me a shot on his show at the Brew Moon. Over the years, I had watched the comedy channel, maybe at most 15 times. I had never watched the Local greats like Augie T, Andy Bumatai, Bo Irvine, Rap, Frank Delima, or Mel Cabang. AND IT SHOWED! As my first bit on stage SUCKED! I bombed beyond belief. But I guess Augie saw something in me and allowed me to continue as one of his warm-ups...either that or he felt awfully sorry for me. Ha! Under his wings, he graciously and most patiently allowed me the time needed to experience my first Big Laugh on stage. It's like your very first Orgasm! As time went on Augie made his way to the Sheraton Waikiki headlining there, and I headed to the Sharkey's Comedy Club, which features long time veteran Bo Irvine. It was there, under the watchful eyes and guiding advice of Bo, Wanda Shipp, and Kento, that I was able to fine tune my bits and find my niche as "The Old Counselor", providing wise "old" advice, from guavas to sex, to youngens and old fogies alike.

Learning from the greats like Augie T, Bo Irvine, Andy Bumatai, Champ Kaneshiro, Bobby Duncan, Lanai, Shaun Felipe, Arthur Wayne, Kaleo Pilanca, Kento, Mo Dixon, Stan Egi, Juan Canopii, Michael Staats, Keven Hughes, and others has given me a wealth of education and confidence. Note: NO special effects were added to this CD to enhance laughter/clapping...in fact, I even included a bit that totally BOMBED ("Jesus")! Silence! Well guys, I know I still got a long ways to go, but at least it's a small start...you gotta start someplace! If I bring just a smile to your face, then I've accomplished my goal..."funny" is good for the soul.
